If you’re looking to take your swimming to the next level, we recommend pairing your MySwimPro mobile app with a waterproof smartwatch. With a smartwatch, you can ditch the printed workouts, leave your phone in the locker room, and take MySwimPro with you in the pool.

With MySwimPro on your watch, you’ll be guided through your personalized Workout as you swim, won’t have to worry about counting laps or tracking splits, and your heart rate and strokes will be recorded seamlessly.

We’re constantly optimizing our app for the newest wearable technology. Here’s our guide to all of the available smartwatches, fitness trackers, and wearables that are compatible with the MySwimPro app.

  1. I notice the Garmin fenix3 HR is not on the list of compatible devices. I use this with Strava and was hoping to use myswimpro as well as my principle swimming tool. Is this possible, even in a limited sense. Obviously full functionality would be great.

  2. Hi, besides the Casio watch, is there another one that is Android Wear 2.0 compatible that is a little more feminine and waterproof?
The Garmin is cool, just expensive.

  3. Any chance your app gives vibrating pace alerts like the apple watch for running so you know you have dropped off a certain desired pace you have set to achieve. Thus you know when to speed up without even having to look at your watch.

    • Hi James, great question! We currently don’t have this functionality, but it could be possibly be built int he future! Our app does vibrate when it’s counting down to alert you when to start your next rep. But vibrating alerts about your pace while swimming would be an amazing feature! Thanks – Paige

  4. The Garmin Swim watch isn’t on your list of supported Garmin devices. Seems like a natural fit. Any hope that might happen?

  5. Dear Paul,
If I understand all these comments and replys then when a watch runs under wear os it should be compatible with your app?

  6. Hi I have recently purchased a Amazfit Stratos 2 smart watch. Does the app have compatibility with this watch?

  8. Hi, I can use it with Apple watch without carrying a phone (stand alone mode) ?
and with a Polar chest strap h7 ?
    Thanks

  9. In 2018 you said stay tuned for Sumsung to be added. If I am reading the thread correctly you are now saying it in not in the plan to support Samsung. Is that correct?

  11. Can you please consider making Fitbit compatible? I had it on my Fitbit versa. But unfortunately it does and I upgraded to the Fitbit sense and I didn’t know that your app wouldn’t work for my new one.
I would have bought a Garmin if I knew that you stopped the app on upgraded versions

    Hi.
Trying to find a suitable garmin for swimming needs. Absolutely want to use this app. It’s so hard to pick. They all look really chunky (I’m tiny). Is the garmin swim comparable or the garmin venu SQ which says it’s only suitable for pool swimming. Brain is frazzled just trying to make a decision.

Hi there! We love the Garmin 945, as it has capabilities for pool and open water swimming, plus tons of other fitness activities! And, it syncs to MySwimPro! The Garmin Swim 2 isn’t fully compatible with the MySwimPro app, and we don’t yet support the Venu 2 either. Hope this helps!

  13. Hi! Could you please recommend a swimming watch with an interval (countdown) function? Many thanks Suzie Beverley.

    • Hi Susan, Many Garmin smartwatches have this feature! And on Apple Watch, you can install various apps to get a countdown or interval feature.

  14. Hi,

I notice on the supported watches it states it supports the Venu watches.
doesnt say if it supports the Venu SQ2 version though?

    Please can you clarify?

    Thanks

  15. I’ve just purchased a Garmin watch so I can get this app on it.. This watch is the only Garmin watch available and has been available in my town for months. turns out .. I blew my money. I’ve spent all day trying to work out how to sync via instructions but apparently this $765 Garmin Venu 2Plus I just purchased is not compatible. Appears I still have to print out my program , but in clear plastic folder and take to pool with me. Its 2023… surely there’s a better way that doesn’t involve moving over to Apple.

    • Taylor Holmes on

Hi Alisa, Garmin doesn’t allow the Venu watches to use Custom Swim workouts, which means that MySwimPro Guided Workouts are unfortunately not compatible. You don’t need to switch to Apple, but a different Garmin watch that supports Custom Workouts would work.
Any of the watches here (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=lLvhWrmlMv0vGmyGpWjOX6) that appear in the swim list are 100% compatible with MySwimPro.
