How To Log Workouts With Garmin
There are two ways to log Workouts in MySwimPro with your Garmin watch. You can be guided through Workouts with the MySwimPro Connect IQ app, or just track your Swims using the Garmin Sync feature! Both features are available on iOS & Android.

iOS – Setting Up Garmin Sync
Garmin Sync is the best way to automatically log Garmin Workouts to MySwimPro. After setting it up, all Workouts logged with your Garmin watch will appear in MySwimPro!
To set up Garmin Sync:
- Make sure you have bluetooth enabled on your phone and the Garmin watch
- In the MySwimPro app, go to Settings > Devices & Integrations
- Toggle Garmin Sync
- A web page will appear and prompt you to authorize MySwimPro to read your Garmin workout information. Sign in to your Garmin account and tap Allow.
- Reopen the MySwimPro app if not automatically directed. The next time you swim with your Garmin device and sync with Garmin Connect, your Swims should log to the MySwimPro app. You’ll be able to see your Garmin swims in the MySwimPro feed.

Android – Setting Up Garmin Sync
Garmin Sync is the best way to automatically log Garmin Workouts to MySwimPro. After setting it up, all Workouts logged with your Garmin watch will appear in MySwimPro!
To set it up:

Hi
I am having problems to download the app for Garmin Fenix 5X plus, I got the message: “This app is not compatible with the selected device”
Sorry to hear about that! Will you please email us at ios-support@myswimpro.com? We’d love to help you out! Thanks.
I have been using this feature on my Fenix 5 for sometime. I thought that an update was coming where you would actually get to record your lap splits. Thereby taking fuller vantage of the analytics piece of this that is still missing. Any updates on when that will be rolled out?
Hi Matt, can you please check that you have the latest Garmin software? Check that you have the 3.0 Garmin connect sdk within the device Settings > About page. Then check that you have the latest MySwimPro app version installed. Let us know if that doesn’t work! Thanks 🙂
Hi – having similar problems with my Garmin – what is the latest MySwimPro version and how do I check it?
Hi Shuki, go to your Connect IQ app, then the Connect IQ store, then search ‘MySwimPro’ and update the app version.
Just got MySwimPro, installed on Fenix 5s Plus.
Is it possible to simply record a swim not do a workout that is loaded?
Hi Andrea! Yep you can start an Open Pool Swim before you jump in the pool and just record it 🙂
Hi
Is that option available in fr935? Can’t seem to find it.
Thank you
Hello Andrea,
When doing on open pool swim with the myswimpro app, will it record heart rate using the built in wrist HRM on a Fenix 5x ?
Thanks.
Hi,
I can’t seem to find MySwimPro in the Garmin IQ store.

Hello!
I am looking to purchase the Garmin Swim 2 watch. I do no see it in the list of compatible devices. Will it still work or be added to the compatible devices in the future?
Hi Axel, The Garmin Swim 2 does not support Guided Workouts from the MySwimPro app, but you should still be able to connect the watch to MySwimPro and it will log all of your swims and track analytics!
