2018 Year In Review

What a year!
It’s exciting to reflect back on 2018 and the amazing growth we’ve been able to achieve as a company in just 12 months. Our mantra is to empower aquatic prowess across the globe and this past year we’ve been able to help swimmers around the world reach their goals and lead healthier lives through swimming. January 2018


In January, we attended the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada and were excited to see MySwimPro on display at our partner CASIO’s booth. Later in the month we brought on our Marketing Director, Paige Walters to help grow our digital marketing and brand.

February 2018


In February, I spoke at the CASIO press event in Tokyo with the other Global App Partners. We officially launched the #AskASwimPro show and made some big updates to the app on iPhone and Android.

March 2018


In March, we ramped up our partnership program to include the Global Swim Series, Masters Swimming Canada and Michigan Masters Swimming. We introduced a new educational video series called Whiteboard Wednesday and started documenting content at events.

April 2018


In April, I was invited by USA Swimming to speak at #SwimBiz, the national governing body’s annual marketing conference. We had a booth at the Michigan Health Expo, and also launched our Garmin Connect IQ application at the Garmin Developer Summit.

May 2018


In May, our entire team competed at the U.S. Masters Swimming National Championships in Indianapolis. We also held our first ever social meetup in Indy and joined swimmers from around the country in celebrating our passion for swimming.

June 2018


In June, we launched a new app called Triathlon Tracker for Apple Watch. We also held at meetup in New York City and attended the Mobile Growth Summit and the Apple World Wide Developer Conference. The App also got a major update that allows for granular display of advanced analtyics like heart rate, stroke count, lap splits, and SWOLF.

July 2018


In July, MySwimPro was named by Apple as the App of the Day on July 7, 2018. We were also featured as the App of the Day in a number of different countries over the following several weeks. At the end of the month we competed at the Pan American Masters Championships and held a meetup in Orlando, Florida.

August 2018


In August, we announced our partnership with Strava and helped launch a new smartwatch with CASIO speaking at their press event at IFA in Berlin, Germany.

September 2018


In September, we launched more training plans and made updates to MySwimPro Apple Watch app for the new watch OS 5 update and bigger screen on the Apple Watch Series 4.

October 2018


In October, we officially launched World Swim Day. It was incredible to host such a global event that saw participation from swimmers in over 100 countries. We’re looking forward to more virtual challenges and World Swim Day in the new year!

November 2018


In November, we rolled out the new MySwimPro Elite membership and Premium Packs. This was a complete revamp to the application on iPhone and Android and significantly improves the user experience, adds new training plans and instructional video content.

December 2018


In December, it was cool to see MySwimPro featured in The Times (London, UK) 🇬🇧and a number of different publications across the web for our partnership with Fitbit.
