1 – One of The Fastest Meets In Canada
The 2019 meet will be Ontario’s most competitive masters meet and one of the fastest masters meets in Canada.
The event is sanctioned by Masters Swimming Canada & Swimming Canada and recognized by FINA so records for both Canadian, US and world would all count at this meet. We can expect nothing less than a top-quality meet in terms of officials and facilities!
2 – Fast Pool, Fast Times
The Etobicoke Olympium pool has been one of the country’s fastest pools for decades and has consistently had upgrades to keep it modernized. There will be lots of fun, prizes and great racing throughout the weekend.
3 – World Records
There have been a number of both national and world masters records set both at this meet and in this pool in past years.
Excitingly there is a 95 year old woman on the Etobicoke masters team who will be going for a number of world records at the meet this year!
If setting records isn’t your primary goal, this meet still offers a great opportunity to partake in the camaraderie, friendship and excitement that masters swimming is all about
4 – Sightseeing In Toronto
The Etobicoke Olympium is 20 minutes from downtown Toronto and is easily accessible.
5 – Lots Of Fun!
There will be teams not only from Ontario but the rest of Canada and the US in attendance as well (a couple international swimmers from Macedonia and Panama are even confirmed!).
So if you’re looking for a great championship weekend of racing and spending time with other swimmers this is the meet for you!
