There’s tons of tech packed into these goggles. They’re a perfect intersection of hardware and software!
The Hardware
- Smart Display: There’s a small screen inside the goggle that shows various metrics, including your heart rate, split time, stroke rate, stroke count, distance per stroke, pace, calories and distance. There’s an option to turn off the display, but it’s not too distracting.
- Heart Rate Sensor: The goggles are equipped with an optional, optical heart rate sensor for real-time data. The sensor has about 5 hours of battery life.
- Accelerometer & Gyroscope: These 2 pieces of tech measure your movement and speed.
- Nose Bridge Options: Each pair of goggles comes with 7 nose bridge sizes to help you find exactly the right fit.
- Long Battery Life: It only takes about 90 minutes to fully charge a pair of FORM goggles. With a full charge, you’ll get 16 hours of swim time. If you just need to make it through one workout, 15-20 minutes of charging should do the trick!
The Software
- Glanceable Metrics: These goggles are your floating, personal pace clock. Your data is always just 2-3 meters in front of you, right inside your goggles!
- Automated Data Capture: Using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, your FORM goggles analyze your swimming and translate that data into the numbers you see on the screen.
Setting Up Your FORM Smart Swim Goggles
Setting up your goggles is super quick and easy. After receiving your goggles, download the FORM app and follow the in-app guidance. Customize your goggles, analyze your swim workouts and sync your data with Apple Health, Strava, Training Peaks and Garmin.

In terms of the data each piece of technology captures, they’re pretty similar. However, being able to easily see your real-time heart rate and a pace clock right in front of you at all times is a game changer. Watch your splits while you’re swimming instead of waiting to get to the wall to check your watch.
From our perspective, there’s some room for improvement when it comes to the goggle’s ergonomics. They’re a bit bigger than your typical swim goggle, but, for the world’s first ever smart goggle that essentially puts a computer on your face, they’re pretty slick!
