Meet Kyle Ivey, MySwimPro’s New Community Champion!

As our new Community Champion, Kyle combines his lifelong love of swimming, background in performing, and expertise in communication to inspire swimmers from all over the world.

A Lifelong Love for Swimming
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Las Vegas, Kyle’s journey with swimming began early. At just five years old, he joined his first swim team, the Boulder City Henderson Heatwaves, and from there, his passion for the water only grew. An avid athlete both in and out of the pool, Kyle also took on CrossFit workouts and triathlons as a young competitor.

Kyle’s athletic pursuits didn’t stop at swimming. While attending the University of Cincinnati, he expanded his expertise in movement and fitness, training in multiple disciplines like dance, Pilates, and yoga. He graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Accounting, and soon moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting.

Though Kyle chose not to swim competitively in college, he soon found himself missing the sport. After graduating, he returned to the pool and quickly rediscovered his love for aquatic competition. His dedication paid off: in 2019, he competed in his first US Masters swim meet and placed in the top ten for his age group.

Swimming has been more than just a personal passion for Kyle—it’s a family affair. His love for the water was inspired by his parents, and his childhood was a testament to how swimming can strengthen family connections and create lifelong memories. His family’s story was recently featured in our article, A Family That Swims Together Stays Together, and we encourage you to check it out!

A Champion for the MySwimPro Community
In his role as Community Champion, Kyle’s focus is on ensuring that every member of the MySwimPro community feels supported, heard, and empowered. Here’s how Kyle makes a difference:

Outside the Pool
When he’s not supporting the MySwimPro community or training in the pool, Kyle is immersed in storytelling and performing. His work has taken him from East to West coasts in the United States and into international waters (his favorite being Australia).
