This past weekend, Team MySwimPro made its championship-racing debut at the Michigan Masters State Championships at Eastern Michigan University. Our squad brought together 21 swimmers ages 18 to 67 to compete in the three-day competition that featured 351 U.S. Masters Swimmers from across the state of Michigan.

Team MySwimPro scored a total of 554.5 points for a 9th place finish in the team championship standings. Below is a summary of our team’s accomplishments:

– 17 Individual State Titles
– 3 Relay State Titles
– 82 Best Times

Every swimmer on our team scored points! Nine Swimmers contributed to either individual state titles or swam on winning relays! Across all age groups, Jacob Montague and Savannah Mortensen scored the most individual points on Team MySwimPro with 63 and 42 points respectively.

Masters swimming fosters a relaxed atmosphere that encourages participation at the competitive level you desire! Our team brought together a range of swimming backgrounds from first-time meet swimmers to national-level competitors.

90% of our squad did not compete in a masters swimming competition last year. It’s an exciting start for team MySwimPro, and the sport of swimming. I’m looking forward to watching our team grow and the sport take off in this Olympic Year.
