1 in every 3 adults in the United States can’t swim the length of a pool, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which puts them at risk of being one of the 10 people who drown every day in this country.
MySwimPro is on a mission to help people all over the world become better swimmers, stronger athletes, and to live happier and healthier lives. With our global outreach, education, technique drills and swim training app, MySwimPro is making adults safer and stronger in the water.
April is Adult Learn to Swim Month, and we wanted to share helpful resources with our readers in support of the U.S. Masters Swimming’s Adult Learn-to-Swim Initiative.
Whether you have never taken a swim lesson in your life, or are an advanced swimmer, there are many ways that you can learn how to swim or get involved in your local community to help adults be better swimmers.
If you don’t know how to swim:

- Find an instructor for a small group or private swim lesson – adults are always welcome! Many U.S. Masters Swimming clubs and certified instructors offer low- or no-cost lessons in April
