Lilly King is a machine! At the 2019 NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, she swam the 100 yard breaststroke in 55.73 breaking her own U.S. Open Record in the event that she set a month earlier at the Big 10 Championships.

At the 2018 NCAAs Lilly King swam the 100 Breaststroke in 56.25 splitting the race in 26.32 on the first 50 and 29.93 on the second 50.

Lilly King joined the Elite group of swimmers to 4-peat in two different NCAA events. She won the 100 breaststroke for the fourth time in her career and then won the 200 breaststroke for the fourth time in a row.

Olympic Gold Medalist Brendan Hansen is the only other swimmer, male or female, to have won all eight breaststroke races in four NCAA seasons. As of the 2019 NCAA Championships, below are Lilly King’s best times:

About Lilly King

Born in Evansville, Indiana, King started swimming early and at 17 finished sixth at the 2014 US National Championships. She went on to swim at Indiana University where she won eight individual NCAA Championships – 4-peating the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke races. Internationally, she has competed at the World Championships and is the 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 100 Meter Breaststroke.

Her Gold Medal swim in the finals was an Olympic Record with a time of 1:04.93 finishing over half a second ahead of the Russian Silver Medalist Yulia Efimova. At the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary King swam a 1:04.13 to claim gold in the 100 Meter Breaststroke.

She is considered one of the best if not the best breaststroker in history!
