After touching first in tonight’s final, Katie Ledecky has completed her 800-meter freestyle 3-peat: She has won gold in this event at 3 consecutive Olympics.

Ledecky redeemed herself after 2 losses to Australia’s Ariarne Titmus in the 200 and 400-meter freestyle. Titmus tried to power forward to close Ledecky’s lead in the last 100 meters, but it wasn’t enough. She won silver.

She celebrated this win with USA teammate (and 15-year-old!) Katie Grimes. What a way to finish out her Olympic schedule!

Ledecky’s first 800 free gold came at the 2012 Games, when she was just 15 years old! She won gold again in 2016, where she broke the world record by almost 2 seconds!
