Australia’s Emma McKeon adds another gold medal to her trophy case, winning gold in the women’s 50m freestyle. She set a new Olympic record in the final, swimming a 23.81.

McKeon is having a stellar Olympics. She won gold in the 100 freestyle, bronze in the 100 fly, gold in the 4×100 free relay and bronze in the 4×200 free relay and the mixed 4×100 medley relay. The 50 free brings her to 6 medals. She has one more chance to medal in the women’s 4×100 medley relay tonight.

Sarah Sjöström of Sweden made it on the podium with silver, after a few rough performances due to an elbow injury. Denmark’s Pernille Blume won bronze.
